"Painting Meets Photography": Atelier by Soniya Joins ARThausstraße with "Garden of Life" Exhibition

DUDWEILER, SAARBRÜCKEN – Atelier by Soniya, a beautifully curated studio space directly across from the Dudweiler town hall, is excited to announce its participation in ARThausstraße, a month-long exhibition running from August 16 to September 14. The opening reception will take place on August 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Dudweiler town hall.

The exhibition at the studio features a captivating collection of works by six talented artists: Soniya Vijayakumar, Konrad Schäfer, Ulrich Höfer, Nayaab Master, Ricardo Campos, and Suren Raj Kumar.

The Beauty of Transience

At the heart of the presentation is Soniya Vijayakumar's installation, "Garden of Life." A specialist in abstract art, Vijayakumar uses dried flowers and recycled paper to create a serene, ethereal garden. The installation also includes a photo series by Ulrich Höfer, which visually reinforces the central theme of "Roses, Tulips, Carnations."

The installation aims to raise awareness that we must care for our nature. Otherwise, it will be destroyed, and all that will be left are the flowers in their dried form. This piece highlights how human activities have affected the climate and how these changes make it difficult for our flora and fauna to survive in nature.

The exhibition has the honor of presenting the works of Nayaab Master, a multidisciplinary artist based in Dubai. She focuses on combining photography and painting in large-format works, giving the exhibition an international flair. The exhibition also features an impressive solo piece by Ricardo Campos. Campos, a master of wax as a medium, presents a large-scale artwork made from colored wax, offering a unique and vibrant textural experience. Suren Raj Kumar adds another layer of cultural richness with his captivating photography. His series captures the essence of Sri Lanka's vibrant traditions and landscapes, offering insight into the country's unique cultural elements. Konrad Schäfer presents his unique sculpture art form. Soniya has blended this unique art form into her "Garden of Life" installation.

The exhibition at Atelier by Soniya is open to the public during ARThausstraße every Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors are cordially invited to explore the inspiring atmosphere of the studio.
